VETERAN MISSIONARIES COME TO MISSION CENTRAL!
It all started over 20 years ago in the basement of St. John Lutheran Church in Honey Creek, Iowa in the country. A group of truly “Not Normal” people were kind enough to gather and hear a young missionary who was just starting, to tell of the work of the Lord’s Missionaries in the LCMS.
Yes, there were Paul and Patsy O’Neil, and after visiting with them, I could tell IMMEDIATELY that they were special people who were in the world, but not of the world.
We have been friends for so many years and what an encouragement to have them visit Mission Central and bring some wonderful items that our missionaries could use to take back to their country of their calling. Choir robes, and Items that can be utilize by pastors in lands of darkness, where they don’t have items that can be used in a Christian Service.
It was a great opportunity to visit with these dear folks. It was like a family reunion. These items were brought from their congregation at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Vero Beach Florida. We thank God for missionary friends like Paul and Patsy. They will always have a special place in our hearts here at Mission Central.
