Helge (Czech Republic) Update – March 2022

Our dear supporters, prayer warriors and friends,

While many people expected a political uprising, Jesus, the lamb on a donkey, rode into Jerusalem headed straight for the temple and then ultimately to the cross. His blood was poured out as the final sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin.

This message of Christ crucified is what we share each and every day. The cross remains our focus both in and out of the season of Lent. With uncertainty, war and unrest in the world, we fix our eyes on the cross and know that Jesus Christ reigns and rules. We look forward to Easter with the hope of the resurrection. We tell of His great love for us.

Becca, baby (still on the way) and I are safe and healthy. As the Lord provides a variety of opportunities to serve refugees from Ukraine, we do our best to fulfill physical, spiritual and emotional needs. We send a multitude of mission updates in this month’s newsletter. Click the orange box below to read what’s been happening in the Czech Republic.

Thank you Lord that you never change. You are our firm foundation on whom our hope is built. Thank you for your cross and the life you give through it. Lead us forward in faith.

Thank you for Becca’s successful completion of the Czech driving exam. Protect her as she begins to drive. Thank you for new contacts made in the community and for new students attending English Talk Group and youth group. Give Becca a safe, natural and healthy birth of the baby when the time comes.

Jesus Christ, author of all things true, we pray for truth to be heard around the world. Shine your light in the darkness. Use your church to care for the needs of her neighbors, both of body and soul.

Finally, Lord, we pray for peace. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
