Friends of the mission, Hello from Santiago!

I am happy to bring you this summer update from the field.

As the Proverb says, “A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps” (16:9). Plans have come and gone for us on the mission field, too. However, the Lord has been with us each step of the way, provided new opportunities to reach new people through online activities, and continued sustaining His people!

Read the latest update from my life and work in the DR.

Top left: Church has looked different for all of us during the past few months. After staying in our respective homes and communities for nearly two months and not seeing each other, I was able to see Rafael (right) and Luis (left) one Sunday in May “behind the scenes” leading the online live worship for their field work mission in Licey. Top right/Bottom left: one of the gifts in virtual community I was given during our shelter in place was the opportunity to participate in and learn different art techniques from fellow missionary ladies Lizz and Yoxa… lettering and water color painting now serve as wonderful tools in my ability to relax and meditate on God’s word! “Vida” means LIFE! Bottom right: Rafael sitting in the hallway with Randy after participating in devotions in the group home, which sits at the foot of the hill of his seminary student house. Randy loves engaging in one on one relationships, and found the perfect spot to color with Rafael.
