The Missionary’s Voice
April 2020 Newsletter
Dear Friends in Christ,
HE is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! HE is Risen indeed! Alleluia!
It is so wonderful to have the Alleluias back in our worship as we sing and sign our praises to our Risen Savior even if we must do it from home via live streamed videos! We often complain about technology and how the world loves to abuse it but in these days of "Stay Home – Stay Safe" we have the blessed opportunity to worship everyday of the week and at any time of the day or night. We are so blessed to be able to view worship from all around the world. Cindy and I have enjoyed worshiping with our fellow missionary the Rev. Dale Kaster serving in Prague, a Ghanaian pastor the Rev. Solomon Salam in Kumasi, our home congregation Zion Lutheran in Fort Wayne, IN, and with several other churches around the states.
It is truly more proper and fitting to worship with our brothers and sisters together before the altar; however, the Lord has provided a way for us to continue hearing His joyous Word, sing our praises, offer our prayers and petitions, and give Him thanks for sending His only Son to be our Suffering Servant and Resurrected Savior. These may be strange and changing times in which we are living today yet, our God never changes His love for us nor His constant gifts of comfort, hope and peace.
In this issue of The Missionary’s Voice, we share with you about our Deaf Evangelist Kofi Akorful Anaman, who serves faithfully in the village of Adamorobe and a Deaf school in Aplaku while working a full-time job, caring for his family, and studying to be an ordained pastor. We hope you enjoy reading and learning about him.
May we all continue the Easter Joy by going and telling others that Christ is Arisen and has forgiven our sins through His death on the cross, and by His resurrection guarantees life and salvation for all who believe.
May the Spirit of our God strengthen you in faith that you too may share the Easter Gospel message.
We are truly thankful for each and every one of you. We pray God’s blessings upon you during this Lenten Season as your hearts are prepared for the joyous celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.
Thank you for your prayers and support as they are all greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to share or forward this newsletter to your friends and family or to print and post in your church or school.
Serving Christ together,
Rev. Dr. Steven and Cynthia Schumacher
