Ron and Mary Anne Rall/Papua New Guinea

Dear Mission Partners,
We were in Papua New Guinea from January through mid-March this year. We had planned to stay through May, but because of the Covid19 pandemic, and because we are in the high risk category, we returned to the U.S. on March 17th. The corona virus will be a huge challenge to the health care system in Papua New Guinea. It took several itineraries before getting a firm route to the U.S. because of the quick closing of airports to people from outside various countries! We are grateful we were able to travel through Singapore to reach the U.S.! That being said, although we are happy to be home, we are also very anxious to return to Papua New Guinea where Ron teaches at Timothy Lutheran Seminary. Although our call is for 2-10 week terms of teaching each year, we had planned to stay past that time so that we could reach more people living in the “bush” areas. We pray, along with everyone else, that we will all soon be able to return to our callings. We apologize for not sending a newsletter in the past couple of months; technical difficulties abound in PNG! We are preparing a newsletter this week! May God continue to bless you and keep you in good health and firm in your faith. In His service, Pastor Ron and Mary Anne Rall
