Redeemer Lutheran from Sioux City comes to Mission Central
It was indeed a very, very special evening at the Lord’s Mission Central on February 13th, 2019. It was such a blessing to welcome the youth and adults from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa for a special evening presentation.
The entire group arrived at 6:00PM and we all gathered in the little chapel and set the record for the “most people ever gathered in the little wayside prayer chapel”. As the group was together in the chapel we prayed that God would be with us and bless our time together at HIS Mission Central.
From the chapel the group moved to the world famous Lord’s Creation Theater! The group was told about the 7 days of creation and the group became acquainted with the first verse in the Bible…”IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH”. After a 4.5 minute video of the creation story, the full emphasis was on the 6th day of creation and God created the animals and humans on that day, and the “morning and evening was one day”….not millions of years.
Then from this beginning the group moved to the barn to see where the “Word became flesh and dwelt among us”…and we heard the last words of Jesus in Mark 16:15: “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation”. All the world was a command, and the entire group had the opportunity to dress up like people from ALL the world! It was a special program to reflect the entire world, and to see items that reflected WHY we need to bring people around the world out of total darkness.
Here you see the group led by the Honorable Missionary Rev. Dr. Russell Senstad and the Honorable Missionary Rev. Dr. David Zirpel, the pastors of Redeemer, who were so kind to lead the group here….and you see the entire group in the Creation Theater, and all of the students that were dressed up in the barn. It was an evening that many will never forget.
