REAL MISSIONARIES NEVER GROW OLD, THEY ONLY GET BETTER AND BETTER!

What a privilege and honor to meet with one of the finest group of Missionaries at the famous Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday the 15^th of June 2023!  Yes, Missionary Pastors, Rev. Russ Senstad and Rev. David Zirpel are the shepherds of this special congregation!

However, the BEST MIRACLE happened at this evening service when Old Missionary Gary had the honor of meeting his long, long time friend and co-worker Missionary Art Joens from Manilla, Iowa!  Our friendship goes back nearly 40 years and  Art is still doing much mission work at age of 98!  He and his wife are now living in a care center in Sioux City under the supervision of Art’s son, the Honorable Missionary Al Joens and his dear wife Melissa!

You might recognize Al Joens as he is one of the anchor newsmen at channel 4 in Sioux City, Iowa!  It was a blessing to see Art, Al and Melissa Joens.  In the attached photos you will see these special friends that will always have a special place in the heart of Old Missionary Gary!  We thank God for sending us special Christian Friends like this family!
