PASTOR DAVID ZIRPEL AND THE AFRICAN CONGREGATION COME TO VISIT MISSION CENTRAL!
The Lord is so good to us here at HIS Mission Central. What a blessing to welcome to welcome the African Congregation that meets at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. This special tour was organized by the Honorable Missionary Pastor David Zirpel, one of the pastors at Redeemer Lutheran.
On Sunday afternoon July 19th, 2020, this entire group came for a full two and a half hour tour of the facilities here. They so much enjoyed the picture tour in the Ministry Center and especially the pictures of the mission work in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Then in the Lord’s Creation Theater….they recognized so many of the animals from Africa and wanted their picture taken with some of the animals. In the Barn Museum, one of the children was an example for utilization of the hats from several different countries. They enjoyed seeing all of the artifacts, but especially the African items, of musical instruments.
Then the entire group went to the Wayside Prayer Chapel for a final prayer, and they received gifts of their very own Bibles, and were so pleased to receive their personal copy of “God’s Word”. They then joined together in their native tongue, and sang “A mighty fortress is our God”. It was a very special time. Here you see the entire group gathered in front of the Mission Central sign. It was a day they will never forget!
