TWO VERY NOT NORMAL MISSIONARIES FROM ALTA, IOWA VISIT THE WORLD-FAMOUS MISSION CENTRAL!

Over the last 27 years, Old Missionary Gary has had the privilege of meeting some very, very NOT NORMAL people! One of the very NOT NORMAL couples that he met many years ago from Alta, Iowa was farmer Dave Friedrich and his dear wife Trish. They farmed in the area of the famous Hanover Church in the rural Alta, Iowa area.

Some time ago, Trish became a victim of cancer and was called to our real home. Old Missionary Gary had the privilege of praying with Dave and Trish not long before she was called to be with Jesus! Our friend, Dave was left alone to carry on his life. Trish was missed, but we know that we will see her again.

Just recently we found out that the Lord sent a special new helper for Dave, and her name was Kay! She was from Nebraska, and she and Trish were good friends for many years. Kay was alone, and so was Dave. The rest is HISTORY! The Lord planned this all out so that they didn’t have to spend their days alone! The Lord told us a long time ago, that “It is not good for man to be alone”…and this worked out so well…and an answer to prayer.

On Friday the 23rd of October, this special new couple came to Mission Central to see what God can do with an old set of farm buildings in the middle of nowhere! What a JOY to provide a blessing to meet Kay for the first time, and to provide them with a special tour and prayer together in the little wayside prayer chapel. It was a time we won’t forget.
