The resurrection of Jesus gives us the sure and certain hope of eternal life. Because Jesus rose from the dead, we know that He is the Son of God whose death paid the penalty for all sin and that He will one day return and raise all believers to eternal life.
This is the truth that is proclaimed from the Lutheran congregations in Sri Lanka, taught in the seminary in India, and is at the heart of the Augsburg Confession.
The Lutheran Heritage Foundation recently published a fresh translation of the Augsburg Confession and many were gifted to the Ceylon Evangelical Lutheran Church. The above picture shows the ordained pastors and evangelists with these new gifts.
