Helge (Czech Republic) Update – February 2022

Our dear supporters, prayer warriors and friends,

The Gospel of Mark is teaching our new youth group in Havířov about Jesus’ journey to the cross. Along the way, He encounters sinner after sinner whom he graciously interacts with, taking on their illnesses and bearing their burdens. And to the cross He went with all of it and with all of our sin and shame as well. Let our eyes remain ever fixed on Christ, the Savior of the world, whose death and resurrection has brought us life.

We send exciting news about additions to our church planting work and new additions to our own family. Click the orange box below to read what’s been happening in the Czech Republic.

Join us in prayer:

Thank you Lord for calling us your sons and daughters through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank you for people of every age gathering together in Your Name. We rejoice as the Gospel goes forth for we know that your Word is powerful.

Father, keep our eyes focused on Your Son this Lenten season as we follow Jesus’ journey to the cross. Give us boldness to proclaim your message of Christ crucified for all. Bring us back to our baptism where you poured out and continue to give forgiveness, grace and new life.

Grant wisdom to those serving in Havířov-Šumbark. Connect adults, teachers, families and students to the K4 church plant. Give Becca success on her driving exam, and keep her and baby safe and healthy in the months ahead.

Finally, Lord, we pray for peace. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
