I am the resurrection and the life.
John 11:25
Jesus’ words in today’s Gospel lesson from John 11 awaken faith and hope in us at a critical moment in “Our Journey in Jesus.”  After a brief but meaningful delay, Jesus travels to Bethany near Jerusalem. This time He is going to the side of His dear friend Lazarus. While Jesus goes to awaken His friend, the disciples fear the imminent danger and threat of death that this may include. While some are ready to “die with Him,” Jesus goes to make us all awake, alive and full of faith in the One who can raise the dead with the breath of life!
