Please know that a “triple header” at the Lord’s Mission Central means that we have not one, not two, but THREE missionaries that will be speaking on one day!

That’s what happened on June 2nd, 2018, when Rev. Jonathan Clausing and his wife Anita and their 9….yes NINE children came to sing for us at Mission Central, and tell of their work in Kenya in East Africa.

Rev. Ryan McDermott and his family came from Togo in West Africa and they told of their work in this country that speaks French.  They told of their work at the Seminary located in northern Togo.

Rev. Steve Schumacher and his wife Cindy told of their CALLING to Ghana West Africa and what a blessing to hear of their work at the Seminary and reaching out the deaf in that part of the world.

A HUGE crowd came and we had to put out extra chairs in the new Creation Theater to hold everyone, and what a blessing to see it filled.  The Volunteer Ladies provided a wonderful meal for the entire group, and here you see the people that came by buses and cars.  We had 3 bus loads from Grand Island, York and Malcolm, Nebraska as well as groups from Norfolk….and we had people come from Adel, Indianola, Rock Rapids, Sioux City, and Altoona, Iowa.  They enjoyed the day, and you can see the cars and buses, the people lined up to be fed.

One of the special events was the entire Clausing family providing a wonderful song for the entire group all sung in Swahili!!!  It is the hymn in our Lutheran Book of Worship, LISTEN, LISTEN GOD IS CALLING!  The language of the people of Kenya….. What a JOY to hear from all 3 of our Missionaries.
