May 2019

He is risen.  He is risen indeed! Alleluia!  We pray you had a blessed Lenten season and Easter.  We look forward to many upcoming activities in the Dominican Republic as well as wrapping up the school year for Lizz and the girls.  We continue to give thanks to God for each of you.

Dominican Foro

The partners and supporters of the Dominican Republic mission as well as our missionaries and local church leaders gathered together in March to plan and discuss the future of the mission and churches in the D.R.  We continue to give thanks for all the wonderful people and groups God has brought together to work in the communities here.  The group took a break from their meetings one afternoon and we toured the local murals here in Santiago.  If you visit us, we would love to take you here.

Cultural Highlight: Palm Sunday

It is tradition in the Dominican Republic for congregations to process around the neighborhood with palms on Palm Sunday.  Because palms are so prevalent here it is also customary to bring your own palms with you to church.  We saw many Dominicans on their way to church carrying palm branches.

We are thankful for a visit from Blake’s sister and family!  We enjoyed showing them our favorite sights and places in the Dominican Republic.

Meet our Accountant!

Thanks for all your prayers for an accountant to come to the D.R. and help us out.  Meet Grant!  He is here for a few weeks to help Blake catch up on all things accounting.  We are so thankful he is here and for all the great work he is accomplishing.  The girls have also enjoyed having him around for dinner and Bible Trivia.

Keep Us In Your Prayers
“Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!” Psalm 4:1

  • Thanksgiving for God’s continued grace, forgiveness, and protection in our lives.
  • Thanksgiving for partners who allow us to continue to serve our Lord in the Dominican Republic with their financial and prayer support for our family.
  • For the health and safety of our family and all missionaries in the field.
  • For our family’s travels in the upcoming months.
  • For Lizz and the girls as they wrap up their  school year and study Spanish
  • For the missionaries raising funds and preparing to deploy for service.
  • That God continues to bring partners to support our missionaries and projects throughout the region.
  • For continued strength and renewal as we face challenges both big and small.

We are humbled by your desire to partner with us and we thank you.
