The “Not Normal” Sharp family visits Mission Central

Wow, what a special blessing to have the World Famous Sharp Family from Uruguay South America come to visit Mission Central! These are TRULY NOT NORMAL MISSIONARIES! Why? Because who would travel for about 24 hours and then get off the plane in Omaha and then come directly to the World Famous Mission Central? Why wouldn’t they go home first, rest, see their family and go to Mission Central later? BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT NORMAL!

Rev. James Sharp and his dear family came DIRECT to Mission Central after traveling for 24 hours, and then their family with grandpa and grandma are down in Denison, Iowa…waiting for their family to arrive…and what a happy reunion for this “IOWA MISSIONARY FAMILY”.

Yes, this family is “all alone” down there in Uruguay…as they are the only LCMS Missionaries that we have in this country! But, God has truly blessed their work, where they work with a Lutheran School that has over 1200 students, and are expanding to 1500 students! They are helping to establish 3 Lutheran Congregations also.

The 4 children of Pastor James and Angela Sharp also serve as special missionaries among their friends and classmates. Here you see this NOT NORMAL family in front of our Boss here at the Lord’s Mission Central!
