THE LORD SENDS SPECIAL 96-YEAR-OLD MISSIONARY FROM ALGONA, IOWA AND HER SON TO MISSION CENTRAL!

What a JOY to welcome two very special friends who made a trip from Minnesota and Algona, Iowa to visit Mission Central on Tuesday the 11^th of October!

Evelyn Ruhnke is 96 years old and still working for the Lord Jesus! Evelyn and her late husband Wilbert were instrumental in helping to establish the Lord’s Mission Central! They organized and helped to send the very first Thanksgiving Mailing for Mission Central. They gathered together a group of special people there in Algona and sent out thousands of Thanksgiving letters, which became a “hallmark” for Mission Central, as each year the personal letters are sent! Starting with 1500 letters and now it has grown to nearly 9000!! What a blessing to have special friends like the Ruhnke Family.

Her son Dave was kind enough to bring some choir robs for the people in Africa from his congregation in Minnesota. Dave picked up Evelyn in Algona and she was able to make one more trip to her Mission Central!

What a blessing to have these dear, dear personal friends take the time to come and visit. Here you see these two special people in Gary’s Office with our Boss in the background.
