Bio

Herman and Sheila Strozier serve the Lord as missionaries through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Eurasia region, based in the Czech Republic. As the Eurasia region’s business manager, Herman works closely with the Eurasia regional director to manage the financial and business affairs of the LCMS in this part of the world. More specifically, Herman’s duties include supporting all LCMS missionaries serving in this region and working with local church partners on long-term mission projects.

Herman was born in Rochester, N.Y. His home congregation is Mission of Christ Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. Before becoming a missionary, Herman was the business manager for the LCMS South Wisconsin District. He is also retired from the United States Army Reserves out of Milwaukee. Herman enjoys bowling, photography, clay shooting and listening to jazz.

Sheila’s hometown is Milwaukee, and Mission of Christ Lutheran Church is also her home congregation. She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. Prior to moving to the Czech Republic, she worked in service operations and as a training manager. She also served as the interim director of SOS Center, Inc., a non-profit social services agency serving children and families in Milwaukee. Sheila enjoys reading, sewing and baking.

Prayers

Pray for Herman and Sheila as they move to the Czech Republic and serve in the Eurasia region. Pray God gives them strength, patience and peace as they transition to life overseas, learning the culture and the language. Ask God to strengthen them to boldly share the Gospel in their interactions with the other LCMS missionaries serving in this region, the local church partners and those in the community in which they live and work. Let us give thanks to God that the Stroziers are serving His children in this part of the world.
