MANY NEW MISSIONARIES SWORN IN FOR JESUS AT ST. PAUL LUTHERAN SCHOOL AT ARLINGTON, NEBRASKA!
As old Missionary Gary travels to so many locations to talk about our dear missionaries…one of the greatest blessings is the fact that We have the privilege of “swearing in” missionaries for the rest of their lives. We MUST get to the young missionaries, because many of us “gray haired” Missionaries are going to be called to our real home, and the YOUNG must carry the message of Jesus to the people around them!
On Wednesday the 24th of March, Gary had the privilege of speaking at St. Paul Lutheran School in rural Arlington, Nebraska! What a JOY to have all the students raise their hands and be sworn in as REAL MISSIONARIES the rest of their lives!
We were able to share with the students that the last words of Jesus in Mark 16:15 were “GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOOD NEWS”. The students were dressed up in clothes from around the world and they even got to see a HUGE African Python snake, that came from Ethiopia, where the church is growing the fastest in the world, and they are baptizing an average of a thousand people a day, and the Lutheran Church of Ethiopia now has 10 million members!
It was truly a special day, and what a JOY to have the shepherd of that church, The Honorable Missionary Pastor Rick Kanoy present for all the action. Also present was Pastor Duley, and Principal Dr. Wooster!
