Starting January 18, UN-pack your bags and set off on a global trek. A different global region will be highlighted each week for four weeks, giving you a flair for the diversity of places in which the Holy Spirit is daily calling, gathering, and enlightening through LCMS missionaries and partners. Register here, any time before the event’s February 14 conclusion.

We all know mango trees, like the stately one outside Iglesia Luterana Cordero de Dios in Licey al Medio, DR, bear delicious, juicy fruit, but they flower, too.

From Every Nation
John’s must have been a stunning vision: “a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages…” (Revelation 7:9). Yes, heaven will be filled with believers from every nation, tribe, people, and language; such is the message of the Magi’s visit, commemorated today in the church year. Fittingly, this month I share my insights into just one of those languages and spotlight a rural Dominican community from which some of the multitude will come. And, on the topic of nations, tribes, peoples, and languages, don’t forget to register for Missions Unpacked (see above), starting in less than two weeks. Blessed Epiphany to you and all you hold dear!
