Helge (Czech Republic) Update – November 2022

Our dear supporters, prayer warriors and friends,

Thank you for your continued support and prayers! We remember you this weekend especially as we give thanks to God for all of His goodness. Thanksgiving isn’t observed in the Czech Republic, so our minds have been set more on Advent. We ponder how our preparations for Christmas might look different as we take the time in Advent to wait upon the Lord Jesus. Let us not rush into the frenzy of Christmas. Rather, let us prepare our hearts to reflect upon the reason for the celebration of Christ’s birth. C.S. Lewis calls the Incarnation “the central event in the history of the Earth.” Life leads to death which then leads to life. God becomes man, to live, to die, and then to live again. We pray that this Advent will help you to better know the Christ of Christmas.

As we are excited for what’s ahead, we also look back and share with you what God has done. Newsletter attached to read about what’s been happening in the Czech Republic and around the Eurasia region.

Thank you Lord Jesus for providing us with all that we need. You, our good Father, take care of us.

Thank you for the beginning of regular worship services in K4 and for the generations that you gather in your name. Strengthen your church in Havířov-Šumbark and keep them faithful to your Word.

Thank you for Becca’s continued language acquisition. Provide her with strength to study and an absorbent mind to remember all she learns.

Grow Viktor in faith and protect him from all harm.

Guard and protect Kristy as she prepares for baptism. Keep her in your care until life everlasting.

Finally, Lord, we pray for peace. Shine your light in the darkness. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
