After four years of study, Jeancarlos has finished the residential program at Seminario Concordia El Reformador. He graduates on Friday May 27. Please join us on our facebook page to watch the live service www.facebook.com/RamirezMissions After graduation our family will be moving back to Peru, where Jeancarlos will be ordained as a national pastor and installed to serve the church in La Victoria which we left behind years ago to come to seminary. We are looking forward to this big move and excited to finally have a pastor in the family.

1st Class of Deaconess Students Graduate

It has been a blessing to work with the seminary’s deaconess program over the last 4 years. I have gotten to work directly with students here in the Dominican Republic but also women across Latin America. This spring we will have our first graduating class a group of 105 women from 5 countries. Praise the Lord for calling these women to serve Him and His people. They will serve as volunteers in their  local churches.

In preparing for graduation and reflecting on their studies, one of my deaconess students told me: “Caitlin before I started the program, I didn’t know why I was starting, I was just following the other ladies at Church. If you had asked me who Jesus was then, I don’t know if I could have answered. BUT NOW I KNOW. Now I know that Jesus is my savior and yours too. Now I know how to answer, how to use the Old Testament to show the need for the savior. I know that I’m a sinner. Now I know how the bible teaches us who Christ is for us and what He has done. Now I know why I am Lutheran and it does matter! I know how to answer, how to help and how to point someone to Christ. Now I am ready to serve the Lord, my neighbor and the Church.”

Please Pray with us for:
