Dearly Beloved,

Greetings in the Name of the Triune God! It’s been a little hectic for us here. School resumed September 7 and we were literally forced to quarantine all students for two weeks, 97 total, for this academic year. Hence the Archbishop and LCN, in general, were forced to carve out extra money to add to the contributions from some of you to build an isolation center. So thank you for your genuine support. However, with coronavirus pandemic the cost of living went up the roof, sky high! The Board of Governors had to double the school fees for us to break even, which still doesn’t actually fill the total gap. We are still in need of support from outside. Some of the normal 100+ students are yet to report as a result of the increase. Please continue to put us in prayer for us to have enough additional support from individuals and congregations.

We look forward to the return of the five brothers sent out to Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, for their STM. Their graduation date is November 13and may I use this medium to extend the invitation for all of you to attend. You are all cordially invited to attend this mini-commencement. Shortly after that they will come back and begin to work at JEML Seminary next semester. In the meantime, the work load is still the same for me, doing the work of 4 professors! I am teaching seven courses, some as intensives. It is even a lot more difficult when we don’t have visiting professors as a result of COVID-19 and travel restrictions. I pray and hope that I don’t end up teaching more than the seven courses. Please continue to pray for me and the students as we battle this out.

Some of you might remember that as a result of the lockdown I had 15 students living with me in my house. Four of those students lost 5 parents between them, and buried two. We still have three to bury.

To God be the glory! My auntie’s burial was last Saturday and all things being equal, it was peaceful. I returned safely to the Seminary only to be called back the following day for the burial of one of my fellowship members who passed on to glory. A lot of back and forth. Thank you for your continued prayers for my well-being and safety. The Lord is faithful! Amen.

On the whole, continue to put me in your prayers, now more than ever. Your financial support is important, but your prayers are necessary.

Thank you so very much for all your sincere support and prayers. You are constantly in our prayers. Silver and gold we do not have, and such that we have we give thee. Praying to the good Lord to continue to replenish you in all our ramification, especially with good health at this pandemic period. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Wokoma
