Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Hello! I know this newsletter is long over due, so I appreciate your patience. These months have been up and down, easy moments and hard moments, as I am sure you can relate. Thank you for committing to read the updates and stories here.
The pictures above are a preview of what is included in this newsletter and, merely, a quick overview of past events–Easter activities, spending time with students (in and out of the classroom) , AND my mom visited me in June for two weeks!
The very first picture is a snapshot of my students, Pok Pong (left) and his sister, Bang Pan (right). Pok Pong is 4 years old and Bang Pan is 6 years old. I had them every day working on small English skills (sentence building) and letter recognition. During the Easter season, I had Kindergarten level Easter sheets–including coloring, matching, and writing. As we worked on them for some time, Bang Pan could recognize the words she learned and pointed to pictures of them in the classroom. She told me “Look, teacher, angel! Teacher, tomb! Teacher, Jesus!”
A very joyful moment indeed- may we all have have a childlike joy in all that we do.
