Dear friends in Christ,
I (Jamielynn) am home again in Santiago. Thank you for your prayers of travel mercies and safety throughout my home service time – my travels went smoothly and my visits were encouraging and fruitful. Hello to those of you who have joined our mailing list following one of my visits and thank you to all of you who received me in your homes, at your church, at your school, or at your table. Each of you are a blessing to us and we are so humbled by your generosity and by your prayers.
Now that we are together again, Rafael and I are meeting with church leadership in Chile and our mission supervisors here in the Dominican Republic. These meetings mark the beginning of our transition and move to Chile! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on prayer requests and potential timelines through a newsletter by the end of this month or early in April.
For now, I’ve written and published a blog that serves as a small recap of my home service and I invite you to read it here.
Ladies from all the missions in the Dominican Republic are working through a lenten devotional series together that includes a bible verse, reflection, and an opportunity for art each day, following the visual faith model. We are all included in a WhatsApp group chat and verses, prayers, art, and encouragement are shared there each day as we walk through the Lenten season. Today’s verse comes from Psalm 121, and I share it with you today for your reflection. I can not claim to know what season of life each of you are in, but I do know that our God goes with you, and watches over you as you walk through.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.”
God’s blessings to each of you. Thank you again for your prayers, encouragement and support.
In Jesus’ name,
Rafael & Jamielynn (Tinkey) Flores
