A few notes from LCMS Missionaries, James & Christel
We pray this letter finds you well and celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the Lord be with you and keep you in His loving arms this new year!
Merry Christmas from Fuente de Vida!
Our last Salmos y Cafe of 2019. We finished with 1 John 3 from our Advent devotionals. A big thank you to East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church in Monroe, MI for sending us some beautiful quilts.
Our team Christmas party. We enjoyed grilling out, making Christmas cookies, eating pasteles y arroz con gandules, and most importantly spending some quality time together.
An hour before Advent services we gathered as members to share and color our Advent devotionals on the book of 1 John. We are so thankful for our new area in front of our mercy house (CARD). It has a large Quenepa tree to give a lot of shade and with December being a cooler and breezier month, it made for a really peaceful time to reflect on Advent.
Great to have a visit from Rev. Dr. Wilfredo Rivera and his family visit us right before Christmas. Thank you for your support for the Puerto Rico mission!
In a few weeks we will be receiving our Deaconess Intern, Stephanie Wilde! We are so excited! She is pictured here during her on-field orientation in the Dominican Republic.
Prayers:
Thanksgiving for a wonderful year full of many ministries opportunities.
Deaconess Intern, Stephanie Wilde as she plans to arrive in Puerto Rico January 16!
