Dear Prayer Partners,

Our beloved Old Testament and Missions Professor, Immanuel Scharrer, unexpectedly passed away today at 3:38 pm in Tainan, Taiwan. While in Southern Taiwan to preach, he had trouble breathing and his heart stopped temporarily. He was revived for a few hours in the hospital before God relieved him of all his burdens. Hailing from Germany, he served as missionary in Thailand for 18 years, then in Taiwan for 22 years. How fitting for him to enter Christ’s glory on Epiphany Sunday since his life was dedicated to revealing the Savior to the Gentiles from the East!

He will be missed very much here! Pray for us and his family.
