David S Bush and Barbara J Bush: LC-MS missionaries: News from Hong Kong & Macau, China

Dear Partners in the Gospel, friends,

Hong Kong has been hit again with the coronavirus. Heavy restrictions are put in place to help deter the spread of the virus. Barbara and I tested negative for the virus. A parent of one of the students at the school contracted the virus so to be safe the school was sanitized and all the staff submitted to tests.

We continue to plan for the next school year. I am preparing to produce digitized lessons to be able to share the Gospel even if the children can not get to school. During the last academic year, we started using the internet, Zoom, Google classroom, and other means to bring lessons to our students. So, pray that God’s Word can continue to be shared here in Hong Kong.

I keep in contact with Macau, but I have not been able to go there. A recent announcement explained that the ban on travel to and from Macau continues.

Barbara and I see the news in the United States. Apparently, between the virus and protests, Hong Kong is just as safe. We pray for you all. We commit you and ourselves to God’s continue gracious care.

Feel free to email me at david.bush@lcms.org if you have any questions or comments. I will be happy to respond to you email.

God’s peace be with you,

Your servant in Christ,
