David S and Barbara J Bush Update

Greetings in Christ.

The Lutheran School for the Deaf in Hong Kong and the Concordia School for Special Education in Macau both remain closed due to the coronavirus. As of now, they will not open until after Easter Break on April 20, 2020. But this date could be changed.

Barbara and I stay in contact with staff and with some students using the internet. We limit our travel to minimize the chance of being exposed to the virus. This means we do not travel to Macau for the time being. We go shopping at the food stores.

We are fortunate that the area we live in there is a huge sports park, and other schools. This means there are not so many people around us. This helps us remain isolated.

Church services also have been suspended. Barbara and I join the services streamed from Holy Cross Lutheran Church for the Deaf in St. Louis, MO led by Rev. Richard Moody.  This congregation is like family to us and have been wonderful partners in the Gospel since before we came to the field.

We ask prayers for all our associates that Christ would sustain them during this crisis. We also pray that we continue to have opportunities to share the love of Jesus with others.

Thank you for your prayers.  We pray for you as well.

Your servant in Christ,

David S. Bush
