Dear Friends in Christ,
We thank you for your prayers for the work in Romania and the Balkans.
Cristos a înviat din morți, cu moartea pe moartea călcând!
Christ rose from the dead with death treading on death!
Above is the opening sentence of a traditional Romanian Easter hymn. We are nearing the end of singing this refrain each week. The initial joy of Easter has somewhat faded, but the joy of the reality of Christ’s death and resurrection cannot be taken away from us!
Now we are nearing Pentecost and with this, new life is delivered to us. The promise of the Holy Spirit which is ours today serves as great strength for us as we all serve Christ in each corner of the world. Doors are continually opening here and the work appears to be almost too much. But we thank God for this and trust that the Lord will provide what we need and work in the people whom we encounter that they would not only know Christ, but treasure Him and look to Him in faith and life.
