Alexandria Rappe serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) as a missionary in Thailand, based in Bangkok. In her role as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, she works with other LCMS missionaries to teach English at the Into Light Center. Through her classes, she seeks to build relationships with the Thai people so she has a chance to share with them the forgiveness and peace purchased by Jesus for them. She also helps with coordinating activities to reach out to high-school and college-age individuals as a way to extend the Center’s program and share the Gospel with them.
Alexandria was born in Nebraska and grew up in North Carolina. Her home congregation is Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fay, N.C. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing, with a minor in communications, from Queens University of Charlotte, N.C. She participated in two short-term mission trips to Zambia (Africa) and Guatemala. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, running, laughing, taking pictures, traveling, spending time on the beach and meeting new people.
Pray for Alexandria as she serves in Thailand. Pray for strength and peace for her as she completes the tasks that need to be done before she moves to Thailand. Pray for stamina and patience for Alexandria as she travels to build her financial support network. Ask that she be filled with wisdom and perseverance as she transitions to a new culture, learns a new language and begins teaching English in a classroom. Ask that she be given a loving spirit and attitude when she is faced with challenges and disappointments. Let us give thanks that Alexandria is serving in this part of the world.
